I am nearing the end of my trip. I will finish in dc on Saturday. I just pasted 4000 miles. I am ready and happy to be finishing and will grieve the end of it as well.
I love that I ventured cross country on a bike as it was a large event in my life to stir things up, give me new experiences, and see life perhaps in a different way.
When I get home, things could be mostly the same., or things will be very different. In a way it doesn’t matter. I know I will have different perspective bcause of my trip. I also know that it will be a different chapter of my life since I will no longer be working full time as I had for the past twenty years. Cheers to finishing

It was very emotional for me when I got to Rehoboth Beach, De and got in the Atlantic Ocean. I hope you take the time to enjoy the finish of your ride.
James, you continue to amaze and inspire me.
Your life-changing challenges, approached in your low-key, offhand manner, continually make many of us smile and say: ‘that’s just James’. We also wish for the fortitude to do some of what you do.
Linda and I look forward to some Broadway pizza with you and Katherine, when your schedule permits.
Thanks for the kind comments. Broadway Pizza sounds wonderful. Sometime after I get home we will make that happen.
Finish strong James
Amazing feat! Congrats coming down the home stretch!
Great journey. I see the Hancock in the forefront of the Chicago Lakefront ride.
I worked there for 18 yrs. Loving retirement in Montana. Cheers to you!
I am so impressed with your journey! It was fun to see a poetic, bucolic side of you!! Come home soon.
Thanks to God you made it safely and in tip top shape. nice picture.
I am with Larry; thanks be to God that you made it safely and didn’t have any major wipeouts or accidents or anything. I’m so impressed that your body held up and that you did the hard thing many times over. Looking forward to having you back and hearing more about your experiences.
