I started off the day with a flat tire after having flat tire, the day before. I would stop pump up the tire and make it about three or four miles before I had to do it again. To my good fortune, the town of Worland had a bike shop that was open. Lisa who owns and runs the bike shop was super friendly and helpful. It still took me a long time to find hole in the tube and patch the tire.
I then struggled with the wind up and down the hills towards the town of Ten Sleep Wyoming . When I got there, the town was buzzing with energy, because it was the 3rd day of the 3 day rodeo in town. I had to go, because this indeed would be, is my first rodeo. It was fun to see how the rodeo worked and also weird to see things like auctioning, off a gun right at the rodeo for charity. My favorite rodeo event I saw was the wild horse race. Teams of 3 people try and saddle a wild horse. Then one of the three gets on the horse and has to ride it to the other side of the rodeo stadium. The crowd favorite was three women who almost won, but came in second place.
The next day was climbing the Bighorn Mountain from Ten Sleep. It was a lot harder than I expected. I climbed from 4400 feet. To 9666 feet. It really wiped me out and in fact I stopped and took a nap three quarters of the way up. Once I arrived it was very pleasant camping on Bighorn mountains. There was no noise or light, the temperature was just about perfect and the camp was beautiful. I even had a lady give me 2 rhubarb muffins. I was in in my tent and asleep by 8 PM and slept ten hours.

Dang, Man! I would just give up! Way to keep doing hard things. How can you eat enough food to fuel that body, mile after mountainous mile?!
Isn’t this your second rodeo? I thought the first one was on the moose a few days ago.
Just incredible. A once in a lifetime and life altering experience. I am so happy you had the courage to do it!!!
