I will summarize the last 3 days.. I started the 1st day coming out of whitefish on a beautiful trail. That wound in and out of Kalispell. At the end of the trail, I landed at a lawn tools and garden, sale. Because of an interesting sign advertising it’s a sale. I spent about an hour looking at all of the fascinating things the woman had on sale as well as the house that she had converted from a church she purchased 20 years ago.
It is complete with a bell tower with a working bell in it. She is an eclectic and extremely nice woman. She wanted to give me a hat, and she did give me some kleenex. I thought she was adorable.
After I pulled away from her place, it started raining and it rained hard for the next 4 hours. I biked all that time because if I stopped, I would get very cold. It was about fifty degrees.. Finally pulled in to where I was glamping for the night. I rented this place out because I didn’t want to set up and take down my tent in the rain I had a small bite to eat inside the tent and fell instantly asleep.
The next day’s ride featured an incredible mexican restaurant in the town of hamilton.
It was on the second floor hard to find. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was even better. I really enjoyed talking with the family that owns the place as well as customers eating there including some cross country bicyclists.
That evening I was looking forward to camping next to a hot springs.I could possibly enjoy. This hot springs was no longer open to the public. Other hot springs in the area are only open on the weekend. Go figure.
